Election Day Results

The City of Centre elections for 2012 are closed and the results are in. Mayoral winner is Incumbent Tony Wilkie. City Council members are Glen Chandler, Harry Moon, Frankie Kelly, Bess Yarbrough, Phillip Roberts,  Marc Johnson,  and Derrick Wheeler.

Police checkpoints net 86 warnings, tickets and arrests Friday

On the night of Friday, April 13th, 2012, all officers with Centre Police Department, with the assistance of Leesburg Police Department, conducted several Drivers’ License Checkpoints in the City of Centre. Officers also increased traffic control throughout the evening. There were a total of 86 tickets, warnings, and arrests made on Friday night.
